# ScaledPapers

> Uptime monitoring and a public status page, so you know a failure first and your customers hear it from you. ScaledPapers probes a website, API, DNS name, or TCP host. A confirmed failure opens an incident on the linked status-page component and sends one alert. Recovery resolves the incident.

ScaledPapers is for founders and small engineering teams that run a website or API they own. It replaces the pair of an uptime monitor (Pingdom, UptimeRobot) and a separate status-page vendor (Atlassian Statuspage) with one workspace.

Rules that define the product:

- One failed check is recorded, nothing more. Confirmation is 1, 2, 3, or 5 failed checks in a row before the check is down, an incident opens, and one alert is sent. Recovery is 1, 2, or 3 passing checks.
- A Website check is up when the HTTP status is below 500. An API check is up on 200 unless another code is set. DNS is up when the lookup succeeds. TCP is up when the connection succeeds, or when it fails if that was the expected outcome.
- Console checks run from five regions: San Francisco, Ashburn, Montreal, Frankfurt, and Singapore. The free homepage website-down checker probes from more cities; those are not the product's check regions.
- Free is permanent, not a trial: 5 checks, 5-minute interval, 1 region, 14 days of results, 1 public status page, email alerts. No card.
- Pro is $15/month flat for the workspace ($160/year): 25 checks, 60-second interval, 5 regions, 90 days of results, 5 status pages, private pages, custom domain, Slack, Discord, PagerDuty, Pushover, and webhook alerts. No per-seat or per-alert fee.
- Enterprise is custom check volume, custom terms, a written SLA, and additional regions on request. Free and Pro have no SLA.
- API and MCP requests are unlimited and never billed on any plan.

## Agents

ScaledPapers runs a remote MCP server at `https://api.scaledpapers.com/mcp` (Streamable HTTP, 34 tools). It authenticates with a workspace API key (`sp_…`) sent as `Authorization: Bearer`. It works with Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex. It does not use OAuth, so claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and ChatGPT connectors are not supported.
